Sandfilm. Visual identity
Sand is a production company in moving and still images. Sand wants to renew the traditional way of creating films by working more digitally than competitors and with tighter and more cross-title teams. When we took on the task of creating a new logo, we wanted to make use of the origin of the name - that is, the names of the Sandgrundars Mattias Andersson and Henning Sandström. The logo landed in a sparse and graphic emphasis on the play on words in the names. In terms of working on the rest of the identity, we realized that Sand already had a very strong visual cinematography as a base. Therefore, we chose not to invest in an identity that takes over but rather complements the mammoth visual language. The choice resulted in working typographically and with a sparse color palette that harmonizes with the film stock.
